This beautiful home has an amazing overlook of the water. The porch area was in such disrepair that the owners rarely used it to take advantage of the views.

Also, the original wood siding was peeling and rotting in some areas especially the trim. The siding on one of the sides appeared to only have been painted as high as the previous contractor’s ladder would go, so the home had an unintentional two-toned effect. The home’s chimney was also badly damaged from woodpeckers and carpenter ants. The lower chimney area also showed signs of extreme rot in the plywood because the gutters dumped water down the wall.

The original peeling wood siding was replaced with 6 1/4″ HardiePlank Smooth siding in Light mist and HardieTrim in Arctic White. We also built a new deck and screened in porch so they can take in the magnificent views of the water.

We installed new 5 1/4″ Select Cedarmill HardiePlank® lap siding in Monterey Taupe and Arctic white HardieTrim® and HardieSoffit®. We also installed a new half round window and installed some new deck boards along the side of the house to properly install the PVC watertable around the deck areas. We also replaced all the broken lattice work with new PVC lattice below the deck to match the new exterior.

The roof was also replaced with a new GAF roof and roofing shingles. Plus the chimney received extra flashing as an additional ice & water shield to protect the chimney area as it was vulnerable to rot with the current design. We also included new aluminum seamless gutters with leaf relief around the house and a new Thermatru entry door with side lites in the front of the house.
